日本雨蛙Hyla japonica
地方名：雨呱呱、棒棒狗、绿蛤蟆

形态特征：雄蛙体长35～40mm，雌蛙体长40～45mm，头宽略大于长，吻宽圆，吻端钝圆，鼻孔近吻端，吻棱明显，鼓膜圆而稍大，颞褶明显。背面光滑，腹面密布多角形扁平疣粒。背面颜色差异大，多为绿色、灰褐色或棕黄色，且同一个体也会因环境变化而改变体色，出现棕色或褐灰色斑纹和纵条纹。鼻眼之间多有黑褐色细纹，眼间有深色斑，颞褶至体侧、甚至达胯部有一条灰褐色线纹或斑纹，四肢具深色横纹或无；腹面乳白色，雄蛙咽喉部紫褐色。
生活习性：生活于海滨平原到海拔1000m以下的平原或山地，成体常栖息于稻田、水坑、沼泽及其附近的林缘灌丛或杂草丛中，捕食昆虫。5月上旬出蛰。雄蛙夜间鸣叫，鸣声为响亮的“嘎嘎”声。雌蛙所产卵多为十几粒或几十粒粘连成片附着于水草上。10月上旬钻入泥土越冬。成体以小型无脊椎动物为食。
地理分布：国内分布于东北三省及内蒙古；国外分布于俄罗斯东部海滨地区、朝鲜半岛和日本。
环渤海地区分布：见于辽宁东部。
生存现状：无危（LC）。

Description Adult males SVL normally up to 35-40mm, females up to 40-45mm; HW longer than HL; snout is round; snout tip is blunt and round; nostrils close to the snout;canthus rostrals obvious; tympanum rounded and big; obvious temporal folds.Dorsal skin is smooth; belly has polygonal flattened warts.Dorsum color Variable, mostly green, taupe and brown yellow; change the color of the body in different environment, especially with brown or taupe gray spots and stripes; black brown stripes between their eyes and nose; dark spots between the eyes; a taupe stripe from tempral folds to lateral and hip; dark transverse striation on the limbs (some individuals have no such transverse striation); belly is creamy;males throat brown purple.
Behaviour Hyla japonica live in coastal plain and hills with elevations below 1,000m.The adult one stay in the bushes and grasses near the rice paddies, puddles and freshwater marshes.They feed on insects.They finish their hibernating in early May.The male frogs call or croak during the night with loud “ga-ga” sound.The female ones normally spawn a dozen eggs or dozens eggs, twining on the aquatic weeds.They begin to spend the winter in early October under the ground.The adult ones feed on small invertebrates.
Distribution China: Liaoning Province, Jilin Province, Heilongjiang Province and Inner Mongolia.At abroad: the Russian Far East, the east of Mongolia, Japan and Korean Peninsula.Distribution around Bohai Sea: in the east of Liaoning Province, China.
