丽斑麻蜥Eremias argus
地方名：斑蜥蜴、马蛇子
形态特征：全长100～130mm，尾长大于头体长，但不超过体长的1.5倍。体略呈长圆柱状，头稍宽扁，吻端钝圆；头顶有对称性大鳞，上唇麟9～11枚，下唇麟6～8枚；眶上鳞2枚，前眶上鳞较小，后眶上鳞较大；眶下鳞3枚，中间一枚眶下鳞不切入上唇麟之间；体背被覆小粒鳞，腹鳞矩形，一横排12～16枚，斜向中线排列。每侧有股孔9～12个。眶下鳞不向下延伸。生活时，背面棕黄色或灰褐色，体、尾背面及眼后至尾前段侧面具有纵行的黑缘白色眼状小斑，至尾侧后段呈黑色纵纹，四肢背面有白斑；腹面白色。
生活习性：栖息于沙漠和丘陵地区的沙丘、荒山坡、农田、堤坝、河滩等处。一般在10月陆续入眠，翌年3—4月醒眠。冬眠地多在背风向阳且较干燥处。如树坑、堤坝和沟旁等。繁殖期在5—7月。雄体腹面两侧变为橘红色，与雌体常转圈奔跑。北方地区多数年产卵一次，产卵数3～8枚，南方地区年产卵2～3次。孵化期1～2个月，7月出现当年孵化出的幼体。
地理分布：中国特有亚种，国内分布于黑龙江、吉林、辽宁、内蒙古、北京、天津、河北、山东、安徽、江苏。
环渤海地区分布：除丽斑麻蜥西部亚种分布区外，均有分布。
生存现状：无危（LC）。

Description Adults up to 100-130mm in TOL; TAL is equal to or longer than SVL, but not more than 1.5 times of SVL; body shape is slightly cylindrical, head is slightly wide and flat; snout tip is obtuse and round; symmetrically big are scales on the head top; 9-11 supralabials, 6-8 infralabials; 2 supraorbital scales, and anterior supraorbital scales are smaller, posterior supraorbital scales are bigger; 3 suborbital scales without middle scale into supralabials; body dorsum is covered by small scales; 12-16 rows of ventral scales in rectangle shape, oblique to the middle line; 9-12 femoral pores on each side; subeorbital scales do not extend downwards; dorsum is brown-yellow or grey-brown; white ocular plaques spots with black rim in ventral pattern on the body and tail dorsum, from the back of eyes to front tail; black ventral stripes on the rear tail; white spots on the limbs dorsum;plastron is white.
Behaviour Eremias argus argus live in desert and hilly areas of sand dunes, barren slopes, farmland, dams, beaches and other places.They usually successively fall asleep in October and wake up in March to April next year.The hibernating places are mostly leeward, face to the sun and drier places, such as tree pits, dams and ditches sides.The breeding season is May to July.During the season, the both sides of male's abdomen become orange red, and usually run in circles with the female.They mostly lay eggs once a year in northern China, with 3-8 eggs, and 2-3 times in southern China.The incubation duration lasts 1 to 2 months, and the hatched jureniles appear in July.
Distribution Native to China; in Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia, Beijing,Tianjin, Hebei, Shandong, Anhui, and Jiangsu domestically.Distribution around Bohai Sea:everywhere except the distributions area of Eremias argus barbouri.
Conservation Least Concern (LC).
