半环扁尾海蛇Laticauda semifasciata
形态特征：体长1000mm以上，背面褐灰色，腹面黄白色或浅青色，全体有暗褐环状纹42个；头小，脖子极短，身体粗扁，头和躯干略呈圆筒形，尾巴扁平如鱼鳍。上唇鳞多7枚，呈2-2-3式，下唇鳞7枚。背鳞平滑，23-23-19行，呈覆瓦状排列，腹鳞宽大，为相邻背鳞宽的3倍以上，190～202枚，尾下鳞35～75对，肛鳞二分。
地理分布：分布于太平洋西部，包括印度尼西亚、巴布亚新几内亚、菲律宾、斐济、日本沿海；以及中国福建、辽宁、台湾等地，一般栖息于近海岸或海岛礁石丛或珊瑚礁中。该物种的模式产地在印度尼西亚马鲁古群岛。
环渤海地区分布：辽宁沿海（大连）、山东沿海。
生存现状：近危（NT）。

Description Adults up to 1,000mm TOL; dorsum is brownish grey; ventral is yellowish white or light blue; 42 fuscous annular bands on the body; head is small; neck is very short;body is stout and flattened; head and body are slightly in cylindrical shape; tail as flat as a fin; mostly have 7 supralabials and are arranged in 2-2-3 rows and 7 infralabials.Dorsal scales are smooth, arranged in 23-23-19 rows; ventral scales have 190-202 pieces, and are wide and big, 3 times as dorsal scales; 35-75 pairs of subcaudals; 2 anal plates on the anus.
Distribution Known in the east Pacific, including Indonesia, Papua, New Guinea,Philippines, Fiji, the coasts of Japan, Ryukyu, and Taiwan, Fujian and Liaoning of China.They usually live in the coast, the rocks and coral reef areas.Their typical locality is in the Maluku Islands, Indonesia.Distribution around Bohai Sea: in the coasts of Dalian of Liaoning Province and the coasts of Shandong Province.
Conservation Near Threatened (NT).
