Ⅱ. Cross-Cultural Critical Thinking
Directions: Make a presentation on the topic Biodiversity Protection. For example, you may write about an endangered species, a wetland park, a famous practitioner, or some daily practices conducive to the protection of biodiversity. You should also include some cross-cultural comparison and contrast between China (especially the GBA) and some foreign countries concerning the chosen topic.
Notes
Form groups of three to six with a designated leader. Within the group, some students focus on the domestic part, and some on the foreign part. Gather information according to the following outline (take a wetland park for example), and then some students combine the two parts into a complete presentation.
1. The geographical features of the park;(https://www.daowen.com)
2. The characteristic flora and fauna in the park;
3. The preservation and management strategies for the park;
4. The development plan for the park;
5. The role and attraction of the park;
6. Cross-cultural comparison and contrast.
