熟悉场景
短对话中涉及社会生活的场景有餐馆吃饭、房屋出租、银行、医疗等。
（1）餐馆吃饭场景
场景人物：餐馆老板、朋友、上司等。
场景涉及内容：评点餐馆、菜品如何、服务质量、环境等。
场景词汇：Italian restaurant，crowded，on diet，dessert，contain，steak等。
（2）房屋出租场景
场景人物：房东、房客等。
场景涉及内容：房屋样式、付款方式、内部设施、房客的住房要求及房东的租房规则等。
场景词汇：the style of house，ways of payment，requirements，facilities，environment等。
（3）银行场景
场景人物：顾客、银行职员等。
场景涉及内容：申请账户、转账提款、使用银行账户等。
场景词汇：open an account，student account，permission from bank，banking，interest等。
（4）医疗场景
场景人物：医生、病人、家属等。
场景涉及内容：病人病情、生病症状、服用的药物等。
场景词汇：waiting room，catch a cold，physical examination，dosage等。
答题技巧
（1）熟悉社会生活场景词汇。在相同的场景中会使用到相同或相近的词汇，如果考生熟悉并掌握了这些场景中的常用词汇，这对于把握原文信息、提高听力理解能力起着非常重要的作用。
（2）预览选项，预测谈话内容，抓住重点。考生要把握播音之前的时间，根据选项预测对话内容和提问内容。通过选项的对比和对关键词的研究，预测出对话的内容和将要提问到的问题。
（3）找出对话关键词。因为短对话时间较短，所以容不得迟疑，需要考生把握对话中出现的关键词，一旦关键词与答案中的关键词相同，就要毫不犹豫地选择。
（4）重视说话较多的一方。短对话一般出现两个对话者，需要考生分清主次，对说话内容较多的一方应该更加重视，因为问题极有可能是针对此部分的。
