熟悉场景
社会交往场景是考博英语听力长对话中必考的话题之一。这类场景主要涉及购物消费、租房、装饰维修、休闲娱乐、外出就餐等。
（1）购物消费场景
场景人物：顾客、家人、朋友、同事
场景涉及内容：
购物前，对商品的了解，如价格、材质、颜色、功能作用等。
购物后主要是对产品的反馈，一般都是出现问题，需要索赔、退货等。
物品的优缺点和总体评价。
场景词汇：in season；change；bargain；famous brands；stationary；sports goods等。
（2）租房场景
场景人物：房东、住户
场景涉及内容：
住户和房东的相处以及讨价还价，一般住户倾向于找价格低的房子。
对房子的评价，包括价格、地理位置。
租房子的过程往往很不容易。
场景词汇：reserve；full up；book up；double room；bedroom；dining room；balco-ny等。
（3）装饰维修场景
场景人物：家人、朋友
场景涉及内容：
房屋重新布局，换桌椅、窗帘，更新家具等。
电器设备安装，购买新的家电设备，安装在哪里合适等。
检测维修家用电器，家电使用寿命到期，需要维修等。
场景词汇：furnished；furniture；decoration；painting；cupboard；shower；air condi-tioner等。
（4）休闲娱乐场景
场景人物：同学、朋友、家庭成员
场景涉及内容：
郊游，与朋友、家人到野外游玩。
参加运动，往往是一些热门运动。如，cycling，rock climbing，skiing，bungee（蹦极）等。
听音乐会，听后的感受、听音乐会可以陶冶情操等。
场景词汇：keep pets；tame dog；gardening；play chess；live broadcast；program等。
（5）外出就餐场景
场景人物：同学、朋友、家人、师生
场景涉及内容：
询问饭店的特色菜，对饭菜的评价，可口、有特色等。
饭菜不如意、服务态度差等对此提出投诉，最终会得到赔偿。
吃完饭结账，计算需要给多少钱。
场景词汇：napkin（餐巾纸）；order；tip；menu；snack；medium；go Dutch（AA制）；treat等。
答题技巧
（1）熟悉社会交往场景词汇。由于涉及社会交往的对话较多，长对话的场景就显得格外重要，准确判断对话场景的前提是熟悉相关场景的词汇。
（2）预测对话内容。读选项信息，能迅速把握它们的内在联系，从而预测所听对话材料的基本内容，并且从各个问题间的内在联系提炼出对话的中心思想，更好地理解各检测点的细节。这对于接下来的听力理解很有帮助。
（3）分清主次，捕捉信息。与生活中的情形相似，双方对话的时候常有主次之分，如一方询问，另一方作答时，关键信息多出现在作答一方，考点自然也就多出于此。分清对话双方的主次对于预测考点出现的位置、提高正确率大有帮助。
（4）听时迅速抓住考点。考点的位置多是对话一方某段发言的开头和结尾部分，这也完全符合西方人的思维习惯，即在发言伊始多采用开门见山的方法，而在发言结尾又总括强调。
