Since the year 1999，a lot of problems have been emerging with Chinese universitiesincreasing their enrollment.For instance，universities are becoming more career-oriented than ever before.More professional education courses have been added into the curricula and many lectures have been held to enrich the students' interview skills.It seems that the students will have a brilliant future.However，the fact is that the administrative proficiencyin dealing with students' affairs has declined and the settlement of the college graduates has become more and more difficult.
Apart from the statements above，in my opinion，we'll confront more problems if all universities become career-training centers.Universities are places in which students learn traditional and modern civilizations of our country.Our country has a civilization of more than five thousand years，which is an envy of people all over the world.And modern civilization has brought about fundamental changes to the world.Students should be familiar with both kinds of civilization.But if universities became career-training centers and neglected their duties of spreading civilization，what would happen？Besides，as we all know，science and technology have become the first productive forces.In order to develop our country，we have to pay much attention to scientific study.There are a lot of important scientific studies that are carried out in universities.However，if universities all became career-oriented，students certainly will be in defect of some fundamental knowledge about scientific study.In such situations，how can we continue carrying out the research and experiments？

2 Public Transportation
As part of domestic modernization，public transportation needs to be developedurgently in China.I can illustrate some examples.
There does not only exist serious traffic jams but also crowded buses，underground and railways.Commuters find it hard to get to work on time due to overcrowded buses or tubes.Travelers could hardly get on buses in big cities during weekends owing to fewer buses and more people.When Spring Festival is drawing near，there is much greater pressure on public transportation since it has to deal with a large number of travelers rushing home.And travelers need special arrangements to go home.In a word，public transportation has become bottleneck to the advance of Chinese economy.
To solve the above-mentioned problems，the departments concerned should carry out the following steps to build more roads，highways or railways and to add buses or trains to the original lines.And the funds have to be raised both from the government and the public.
There are three sources for fund raising in addition to the governmental funds.One is to raise the fares for all kinds of transportation vehicles.Another is to increase the prices for various vehicles on sale.The third is to raise the prices of petrol and diesel oil.If all this money collected is used to improve transportation services，the situation will be bettered and favorable.
The third step to take is to introduce new technology in order to raise the efficiency of vehicles.For instance，the speed of trains should be accelerated by 200%so that fuice as many people can be held.In this way，the pressure on public transportation can be dramatically alleviated.In a word，we need to introduce new technology to raise the speed of vehicles while building even wider roads and adding more efficient trains.
