208.四次“关门”。close，shut，turn off，switch off
（1）close：关闭；合上。指把门等关到让人不能出入的程度，还表示“暂不开放”。如：
He did not close the door when he left the room.
他离开房间时没有关门。
The swimming pool has closed for the winter.
游泳池冬天不开放。
（2）shut：关闭；停业。指关严并紧紧闩住，强调与外界隔绝，还表示“永不开放”。如：
Shut the door so that the cat won't get out.
把门关严，别让猫跑出去。

这家旅馆不再开业了。
（3）turn off：关上，关掉，关闭。一般是指关闭电器、仪器。如：
Turn off the lights when you leave the classroom.
离开教室时把灯关掉。
（4）switch off：关掉；截断。意思是用开关去关掉、切断（电源）。如：
He switched off the light.
他把灯关了。
