213.四次“继续”。go on doing sth.，go on to do sth.，keep on doing，keep doing sth.
（1）go on doing sth.=go on with sth.：继续做同一件事。已开始做事情A，停了一会儿后继续做事情A。如：
We are going with our English homework.
我们继续做我们的英语作业。
（2）go on to do sth.：继续做另一件事。已开始做事情A，停了一会儿后再继续做事情B。如：
After dancing，we went on to sing songs.
跳完舞之后，我们继续唱歌。
（3）keep on doing sth.：继续做某事。已开始做事情A，停了一会儿后继续做事情A。如：
They kept on planting trees on the hill.
他们继续在山上种树。
（4）keep doing sth.：保持做某事。是说把做某事的状态保持下去。如：(https://www.daowen.com)
The workers keep operating machines all day.
工人们整整操作了一天机器。
还有continue to do sth.是指曾经中断该动作而做了其他事情，然后继续做此动作。如：
He continued to watch TV after opening the door for me.
他给我把门打开后继续看电视。
而continue doing sth.是未曾停止该动作（此动作是一直持续的）。如：
He continued watching TV，ignoring the loud knock on the door.
他继续看电视，根本不理敲门声。
last是“持续”的意思。
