◎Zhulin Temple

Zhulin Temple is located in the northeast of Beiguan Village,Jizhou City,Hengshui.It is said that in ancient times,there was a mountain in the north of Jizhou Town,where mirage often appeared and pavilions and platforms hanging in the air could be seen indistinctly.“The sun and the mist reflected each other under rosy clouds.” It was like a fairyland.It was said to be Ziwei Mountain,one of the three fairy mountains.During the Jiajing Period of the Ming Dynasty,an official of Jizhou Prefecture summoned skilled craftsmen to build a temple in the northeast of the city according to the mirage,which was called “Hanging Temple” and renamed “Zhulin Temple” later.There are still its ruins in Hengshui Lake.(https://www.daowen.com)

Built by Erpu Village,today’s Zhulin Temple was surrounded by water on all sides.There is Zhenhai Tower in the northeast corner of the temple,whose base is a labyrinth.If you climb up the tower,you must go through the labyrinth first.On the north of the temple,there is a resort with Ziwei Mountain and Xuan Gate echoing in distance.There are towers,pavilions,platforms,waterfalls and flowing springs on the mountain; while there are karst caves below,which are full of fun.
