◎Dingzhou Yangko
Dingzhou Yangko,also known as Dingxian Yangko,is a local opera of Dingzhou.As one of the ancient operas in Hebei,it was derived from the folk dance for rice seedling planting in Heilongquan,north of Dingzhou City in the Northern Song Dynasty,and is widespread in Dingzhou City and surrounding counties and cities.Legend has it that Su Shi,the famous writer and poet in the Song Dynasty,collected the folk songs sung by the farmers when planting rice seedlings in Dingzhou.In 2006,it was listed in the first batch of The National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of China.
Dingzhou Yangko has a wide traditional repertoire,which not only preserves a large number of historical vocabularies,but also involves many folk customs in rural daily life,which is of great value to the study of Chinese folk customs and traditional culture.
