◎Huazhangmeng Taoist Music

As a kind of ancient music,Taoist music has been inherited in Huazhangmeng Village,Zhoucun Town,Dingzhou City till now.Taoist music was introduced to Huazhangmeng Village of Dingzhou in the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty.The first Taoist music troupe in the village was organized by Guo Jiaming,after he became a Taoist priest,which was about 140 years ago.The Taoist music in Huazhangmeng Village belongs to the Quanzhen Taoist Music School,whose music is quiet,melodious and ethereal.The performance forms include ensemble,accompaniment,solo,etc.Taoist music is an indispensable part of Taoist rites,which is permeated by the basic teachings and aesthetic thoughts of Taoism in its musical form and emotional appeal.In 2014,Huazhangmeng Taoist music was listed in the fourth batch of The National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of China.
