◎Jian'an Culture
The site of ancient Yecheng, located in the southwest of Linzhang County, was the political, economic, military and cultural center of northern China from the late Eastern Han Dynasty to the Wei-Jin Period. Yecheng was a famous ancient capital in the north, where Cao Wei,Later Zhao,Ran Wei,Former Yan,Eastern Wei,and Northern Qi established their capitals there successively during 400 years from the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty to the unification of Sui Dynasty. Ximen Bao,the governor of Yecheng, rose to fame because of his contributions to the city during the Warring States Period. It is also the birthplace of Jian'an Literature School in the late Eastern Han Dynasty. Cao Cao,a famous politician, military strategist and poet, created the scholar group of Yexia, consisting of the Cao's family, the seven writers of Jian'an and others. The group occupies an extremely important place in the treasure house of Chinese culture because of its vigorous and passionate writing style as well as a large number of literary works. The one-hundred-plus imperial tombs of the Eastern Wei and Northern Qi dynasties and numerous temple ruins scattered along the Zhanghe River have witnessed the glory of Yecheng. The architectural pattern of Yecheng and the three terraces in it had a major impact on the construction of a lot of capital cities, including Chang'an (the capital of Sui and Tang dynasties),Beijing (the capital of the Yuan Dynasty) and the Nara City in Japan. The Yecheng-based Jian'an Culture is the crystallization of national integration, and a marvel in the history of Chinese culture.(https://www.daowen.com)
