7.1.4 Lifting Plate
1.Basic Structure and Function of Lifting Board
Lifting board,also known as triangle board,pedal board,pedal or tread.It consists of iron hook,hemp rope and wood board,as shown in Fig.7-15.Lifting board is a tool for electrician to climb pole and work on pole.The vertical length of the rope hook to the plank is adapted to the height of the operator,and generally the length of the operator's arm is suitable.

2.Performance Parameters of Lifting Board
The pedals are made of tough wood,such as white ash and oak,into rectangular pedals with a thickness of 30-50mm,and the two ends of the manila rope are tied to the two ends of the pedals.White brown rope shall be three-strand manila rope with a diameter of 16mm.The board of the lifting board and the manila rope shall be able to bear 300kg.
3.Inspection Before Use of Lifting Board
(1)Before the lifting board is used,the pedal must be carefully checked for cracking or decay,and the rope for corrosion or breakage.If found,it must be handled in time.Otherwise,it is easy to slip and hurt people during pole climbing.
(2)Before use,it is necessary to carefully check whether the test certificate is within the validity period,and the lifting board exceeding the validity period of the test is not allowed to be used.
(3)Before use,the lifting board must be subjected to a human body load impact test to check whether each part of the lifting board is firm and reliable.Fig.7-16 shows the load impulse test on the lifting board.

4.Usage of Lifting Board
The usage of lifting board shall be properly mastered,otherwise it will cause personal injury or death if it is unhooked or slipped.The lifting board shall be flexible and comfortable when working on the rod,which is suitable for long-term working on the rod and can reduce the fatigue degree.
Fig.7-17 shows the use of a lifting board for pole climbing.

5.Precautions for Storage of Lifting Board
Lifting board shall be kept in a dry and ventilated warehouse and must be stored on shelves.
6.Preventive Test of Lifting Board
Preventive test of lifting board is static load test,and the test cycle is half a year.
