Peculiar Stone
黄山怪石是黄山五绝之一。
Peculiar Stone is one of the five wonders of Huangshan Mountain.
猴子观海：黄山世界地质公园世界级的地质遗迹点，是一处典型的石蛋景观，位于北海景区狮子峰前，当地居民习惯称为“猴子望太平”，有诗曰：“灵猴观海不知年，万顷红云镶碧天。坐看人间兴废事，几经沧海变桑田。”
Monkey Viewing Sea：It is one of the world-class geological relics. It is a typical stone egg landscape. It is located in front of the Lion peak in Beihai scenic area. Local residents used to call it“Monkey Overlook Taiping Lake”.
石柱：沿花岗岩垂直节理风化剥蚀后残留的柱状体。
Stone Column：It’s a columnar body remaining after weathering and erosion along the vertical joint of granite.
◀飞来石：黄山世界地质公园世界级遗迹点，是1987 年版电视剧《红楼梦》的开篇镜头。形似天外飞来的石头，故名“飞来石”。
Flying Stone：It is one of the world-class geological relics. This is the opening shot of 1987 version of the TV series Dream of Red Mansions. It was shaped like a stone flew here from other place，so it named“Flying Stone”.
▼十八罗汉朝南海：黄山世界地质公园世界级遗迹点，位于始信峰与仙人峰之间的石笋矼上，有一石柱群，形态各异。今人有诗赞曰：“罗汉参差貌入神，为朝南海驾云层。黄山圣地多灵瑞，怪石顽皮幻作僧。”
Eighteen Arhats Face to Nanhai：It is one of the world-class geological relics in Huangshan Global Geopark. It is a pillars group between Shixin peak and Xianren peak.
喜鹊登梅：又称“仙人指路”，位于黄山世界地质公园云谷寺至皮蓬的路口。清人曹来复以诗记之：“世事多乖错，投足皆模糊。请君（仙人指路石）出山去，到处指迷途。”(https://www.daowen.com)
Magpies Ascend Plum blossom：It also known as“Xianren Zhilu”，is located at the junction of Yungu temple and Pipeng in Huangshan Global Geopark. It is one of the world-class geological relics.
仙人观榜：由北海去松谷庵途中，经二道亭时，隔涧相望的飞龙峰上，有峭壁数丈色黄如皇榜，形若长匾高悬，人称“仙人榜”。对面宝塔峰下，有块高丈许的巧石，状似头戴古冠，身着道袍的仙人。其态犹如凝神细看对面峰上的仙人榜，故名“仙人观榜”。
Fairy View List：It is one of the world-class geological relics. On the way from Beihai to Songgu nunnery，there is a yellow cliff walls looked like imperial list. And under the opposite Baota peak，there is a humanoid stone. So the stone column and the yellow cliff are called“Fairy Views List”.
仙人晒靴：是黄山著名怪石之一，位于西海大峡谷源头、排云亭侧的陡壁上，是沿节理风化、崩解形成的柱状象形石，如一只倒置的靴子晾晒在峡谷一石柱顶端。
Fairy Puts Boot Under the Sunshine：It is one of the famous rocks in Huangshan Global Geopark. It is located at the source of the west sea grand canyon，on the steep wall of the Paiyun kiosk. It is a hieroglyphic stones formed by weathering and disintegration along rock joints，looks like an upside down boot.
石锥：花岗岩球形风化形成的一种像刺突一样的地貌景观。
Stone Cone：A geomorphic landscape like a spike formed by the weathering of granite.
手机石：是在花岗岩球形风化的基础上崩解后经雨水淋蚀形成的。
Mobile Phone Stone：A stone shaped like a mobile phone is formed by the disintegration of granite on the basis of spherical weathering and rain erosion.
