案例1 Frog Story(青蛙的故事)
1.知识点
思考:全球变暖的影响和后果。

2.思政目标
在本案例中,通过青蛙逐渐灭绝这一现象的学习,引导学生了解全球变暖的成因和后果。对比十几年来北京天气由沙尘变蓝天的图片,了解北京为保护自然环境而采取的措施及取得的成就,深刻领会习总书记关于建设生态环境文明的思想:绿水青山就是金山银山,提升民族自豪感和爱国主义情感。
3.教学过程
首先,复习。
Review the three qualities of Planet Earth:biodiversity、peculiar landform and spectacular.
其次,观看亚马孙森林大火视频,使学生了解亚马孙森林大火的危害。
The Amazon is referred to as the planet's lung;The area's rainforest generates more than 20%of the world's oxygen and 10%of the world's known biodiversity;The fire hasenormous consequence for the globalwarming.
引导学生进行头脑风暴练习,了解全球变暖的成因。
Who should be blamed?The forest fire isman-made disaster or natural disaster?What cause the global warming?The teacher guides the students to realize that the human's greedy behavior caused the global warming and mademany animals suffering.
再次,听说练习。请听如下短文并回答问题:

案例2 Dreams(梦想)
1.知识点
思考:实现梦想所需要的品质。
重点词汇:hook;challenge.
学会口语表达追逐梦想、顽强拼搏、坚定信念等相关词汇。
2.思政目标
帮助学生树立正确人生观教育元素:使学生将“梦想”主题与自己真实生活联系起来,习得追逐梦想、挑战自我、敢于创新、顽强拼搏、积极乐观等优秀人格品质才能实现梦想,从而使思政内容在学生实际生活中得到迁移应用。
3.教学过程
首先,播放有关凯勒的视频资料,设置问题:If you were as blind and deaf as Helen Keller,what dream would you like to come true?And how can you come true your dream?通过凯勒这一名人励志故事,学生在视听中感性地认识到坚定的信念与梦想是人生中最重要的品质,领会了实现梦想需要勇气、执着、顽强拼搏等高尚品质。
其次,听说练习。There was alwaysmusic on in my house when Iwas little.I loved listening to Metallica,Led Zeppelin,Bob Marley,Michael Jackson.My dad was a DJ,so he played disco,folk,dance,rock,and music from other countries.For my 18th birthday,my dad asked me to deejay at the restaurant he owned.After doing that for a few weeks,Iwas hooked.I wanted to learn more.
What dream did he have as he grew up?
