Reestablish Objectives
Objectives can be reestablished to account for changes in the crisis management plan after a crisis. This process includes focusing on results and outcomes that an organization needs to achieve during a subsequent crisis. Objectives provide clarity for the organization. For example,a crisis management plan may include the objective of responding quickly and accurately to all public stakeholders. If this was difficult during the crisis, then it might be necessary to clarify what is meant by“public stakeholders”.Is the current definition too broad? If so,the CMT(the Crisis Management Team)may refine the plan to say they will respond to employees, the media, and suppliers within a reasonable time period.Alternatively, the original objective may have been sound but the means to carry it out flawed,in which case the crisis management processes need to be addressed.(https://www.daowen.com)
