Students are expected to commit 35 hours per week to their studies and the course timetable typically involves around 12 hours of timetabled classes per week.These contact hours are normally a combination of lectures，tutorials and workshops butmay also involve computer lab based classes.In addition to these face-to face classes，students will be expected to undertake substantial further independent reading and preparation of work for classes and assessments.

Students are assessed using a range of assessment methods and can include individual essays and reports；individual and group presentations and closed book examinations and class tests.
