Station 5:Left Side of Tail Boom

(1)(6)Left Formation Light BD-12(147L)and Tail Formation Light BD-12(144L):They provide information needed by pilots of other helicopters in a formation flight.There are an IFR mode and a normal mode.

(2)Doppler Radar 777(22S):It is a type of radar that uses Doppler effect to identify the location and velocity of the target.

(3)Antennas of Radio Altimeter:The transmitting antenna（rear,14S）transmits FM CW signals and the receiving antenna(front,13S)receives reflected Signals.

(4)VHF Full-band Antenna TKR 128(43R):It is a VHF full-band antenna with the working frequency bands of 30MHz-87.975MHz and 108MHz-155.975MHz.It is mainly used for plain/secure communications between helicopters and between helicopters and the ground.

(5)(8)Left Navigation Light HD-13(15L)and Tail Navigation Light WD-3A(16L):The left navigation light is in red(4.2W),with the right one in green(4.2W)and the tail one in white(2.4W).They are used to locate the helicopter and indicate the heading.There are an IFR mode and a normal mode.

(7)Radar Warning Antennas(left 3S and right 4S):They intercept and transmit detective signals of radars to receivers on both sides of the helicopter.

(9)Rear Antenna of Transponder(73S):It receives and decodes the identification/interrogation signals(in general mode,mode 1,mode 2,mode 3 or mode 4)and non-identification/interrogation signals(batch number and altitude)from ground,shipboard or other airborne interrogators(or interrogator transponders).Then it will send responsive identification/non-identification signals(batch number and altitude)or special responsive signals(in special modes 1 to 5)so that the interrogator could identify the target and record its batch number and altitude.

(10)Anticollision Light FZD-20(18L):There are a normal mode and an IFR mode.In normal mode,the helicopter could be located in a longdistance flight and ground operation.In IFR mode,the helicopter could be identified by other helicopters in flight or in ground operation during a long-distance flight so as to prevent collision.Its operating voltage is 28V and flash rate is 60 times/min
