6.2.1　Advantages and Disadvantages优点和缺点

Air transport is faster for shipping high-value or perishable goods such as fruits,seafood,flowers,etc.Among others,efficient customs clearance also contributes to its fast transit.As it is faster,packaging cost can be reduced and insurance premiums are lower compared with other modes of transport.It is accessible to most areas despite obstructions of land or sea.

However,air transport is expensive.The carrying capacity of air crafts is also limited and thus not suitable for shipping bulky,heavy and cheaper goods.It may be influenced by bad weather and cause delay in shipment and delivery.
