6.2.3　Air Freight航空运费

Similarly with ocean shipping,when calculating air freight,both the total weight and total volume are taken into consideration.You need to apply a formula to convert the total volume of a shipment into an equivalent weight and compare it with the real weight of the cargo or vice versa.Whichever figure is larger would be selected by the airline as the one for calculating air freight.The formula for converting from volume to equivalent weight is 1 m3= 167 kg(for converting from weight to equivalent volume,the formula is 1 kg = 6,000 cm3).
