When you decide to purchase insurance for your cargo,you may want to know the exact points of commencement and termination of the underwriter’s liability under your policy.For that purpose,a warehouse-to-warehouse clause is introduced to clarify this issue,which applies to all three types of basic coverage under CIC for marine cargo transport insurance.A warehouse-to-warehouse clause extends ocean insurance coverage to include pre-shipment and post-shipment of ocean transportation,specifically,from your warehouse to the importer’s warehouse stipulated in the policy.However,notably,the underwriter’s liability is limited to 60 days and to the designated destination.Beyond 60 days or out of the designated destination,its liability terminates.
