7.6　Arrangement of Electrical Equipment

7.6.1　The step-up substation should be close to the powerhouse.If the switchyard and main transformer are laid out separately，the main transformer shall be adjacent to the voltage switchgear installation room of generator.

7.6.2　The 6kV-35kV switchgear installations should be arranged indoors as an aggregated switchgear，while the switchgear installations of 66kV or above should be arranged outdoors.However，in polluted areas or where limited by topographical conditions，the Gas-insulated Switchgear（GIS）may also be used after techno-economic comparison.(https://www.daowen.com)

7.6.3　The central control room shall be designed depending on the automatic control mode of the hydropower station.The area of the central control room shall be determined according to the number of control panels（desks），layout requirement and layout style.
