4.5 Representation of image-G in literary discours...
The presentation of image-G in literary discourse space is actually the representative mapping of psychological images in authors'cognitive networks and conceptual experience which demonstrates the preferred aesthetic concepts, the psychological isomorphism and the perceptual schema in the production of literature.Due to the fact that translators conceptualize linguistic expression in cognitive conceptual terms,it makes sense for certain conceptual structure and structural characteristics of linguistic categorization to be applied to translators'construal of the presentation of image-G in literary translation,as translators perceive it experientially. This can provide automatically direct links between the representation and semantics of image-G in literary discourse, based on general principles in translators'conceptual system.Such links make the relationship between the representation and semantics of image-G anything but non-arbitrary,and the representation of image-G can be due to the precise semantics it contains. Thus, translators'construal of the representation of image-G in literary discourse equates to the subjective activation for its conceptualization, whose cognitive structure possesses Gestalt property and conceptual meaning. As Dewell(1995)argued,translators should reformulate the TT on the basis of an autonomous mental representation of Gestalt semantic meaning of ST and grounded in their sensorimotor experience of all embodied meaning, which was extended via various forms of conceptual to shape abstract conceptualization and reasoning. The conceptualized description of image-G in literary discourse space(the representation of image-G)exists in the conceptual structure of pragmatic, which will be explored from three aspects, namely, lexical, syntax and textual levels.(https://www.daowen.com)
