The case is taken from Xu's translation of“Gratitude for New Bounties”which belongs to the non-correspondence type presented in Section 5.5.As a matter of fact,the applicability of image-G accretion strategy can be substantiated by the case study of non-correspondence type since the good case can be made for regarding image-G accretion approach as fairly representative examples of supplement of semantic slots of default value.Image-G accretion approach is what is involved in the disrelation type of image-G actualization and what operates effectively and targetedly,a strategy which enables translators both to recognize and to highlight empirical clue of Gestalt attributes in the conceptual content of literary discourse and thus makes the underlying Gestalt-like conceptualization of more comprehensive conceptual structure possible in TT,for without it translators cannot spark off a new set of supplement of semantic slots of default value.(https://www.daowen.com)

Three Chinese reduplicated characters in TT,xixi,yanyan and xianxian used as thematic and aesthetic elements of certain Gestalt attributes are already available for translators'construal of empirically relevant images of linfeng(breeze blows from the woods),ye(a night)and xinyue(a crescent moon)respectively.Every single reduplicated character is regarded as valid as long as it is enumerated for Gestalt attributes of these empirically relevant images.What is equally noticeable is that default value of Gestalt-like conceptualization in conceptual content can be measured by translators on a scale of informativity on the basis of empirical information of three reduplicated characters.This suggests that default value is not solely derived from Gestalt-like conceptualization,but is generated as empirical attributes of semantic slots.As a result,the default value of Gestalt attributes of three reduplicated characters is the concentrated reflection of semantic slots embodying Gestalt properties of solitude and loneliness in the original poem.By personifying the image of linfeng(breeze blows from the woods),the adoption of moans and signs for the translation of xixi fills up the transcendental semantic slots of default value about the poet's affective depth.It is a collocational link that seems to provide empirically relevant elements for translators'particular experiential base and holistic conceptualization of the plaintive whisper of wind.When it comes to the translation of yanyan,the adoption of long and still would be suggestable.Such a translation would be based in the assumption that semantic slots of default value of ye(a night)consist either of single Gestalt attributes,or at most of small clusters of thematic and aesthetic elements,and this strongly reminds translators of the accretional semantic slots of the empirically relevant image(a lonesome long night),namely,tranquility and calmness.What this seems to demonstrate is that Gestalt properties of accretional semantic slots must be understood as representing cognitive phenomena which are based on sensory experience derived from translators most immediate interaction with their existing empirical structure.In addition,the adoption of dim and chilly would be proposed to be best possible rendering of xianxian,owing to the fact that Gestalt-like conceptualizations of the image xinyue(a crescent moon)and Gestalt essence of gloomy mood and melancholy is further strengthened with the aid of the supplement of sentimental semantic slots.
