Ⅱ.Regulate Blood Pressure by Pu’er Tea

Fig.6-6 Effect of Pu’er tea in lowering blood pressure

There have been few experimental reports on the effect of Pu’er tea in lowering blood pressure, and even many people have doubts about this view.Li Xinxin et al.have adopted Pu’er tea extract to reduce blood pressure in spontaneously hypertensive rats, and found that Pu’er tea extract has antihypertensive effect in a dose-dependent manner. He Guofan, Lin Yuechan, et al.have studied the effect of Pu’er tea on people’s blood pressure, heart rate and cerebral blood flow, and thought that the physiological state of cerebral vessels and cerebral blood flow dynamics changed after people drink Pu’er tea.As the heart rate dropped significantly, the cardiac output decreased, so did the peripheral blood and blood pressure. When the vascular diastolic pressure decreases, the blood flow per unit time and per unit area into the cerebral vessels decreases, so the resistance of blood flow decreases, the amplitude of cerebral blood flow obviously drops, and the peak angle increases.Generally, drinking Pu’er tea can cause physiological effects such as temporary drop of vascular diastolic pressure, blood pressure, reduction of heart rate and decrease of cerebral blood flow, so it has good effects for the elderly and patients with hypertension and cerebral arteriosclerosis.
