关于爱因斯坦的早期论文，我主要依靠从The Collected Papers of Albert Einstein（简称CPAE）卷1～4，6，7和它们的编者John Stachel，Martin Klein，Michel Janssen，Anne Kox，Robert Schulmann以及他们编辑部得来的科学信息，还有John Stachel（在Trevor Lipscombe，Alice Calaprice和Sam Elworthy的帮助下）为1905年的论文译编的Einstein's Miracular Years。[1]有用的书还有：John Stachel的Einstein from B to Z，Sachi Sri Kantha的An Einstein Dictionary，此外至少还有一本难以找到的Cornelius Lanczos编写的书——The Einstein Decade（1905～1915）。最后，Milan Popović编的In Albert's Shadow：The Life and Letters of Mileva Marić，Einsteins First Wife一书对从米列娃的角度来看爱因斯坦的家庭生活很有用。
