椎间盘内射频治疗技术
射频技术通过烧灼神经的方法阻断伤害性刺激的传递，一直用于治疗颈肩背痛。大量的文献报道认为射频技术对于脊神经背支、背根节及交感神经节所引起的腰背痛治疗是有效的。自20世纪90年代中期开始，van Kleef，Sluijter，Houpt，Troussier等对射频技术治疗椎间盘源性疼痛进行了临床及基础研究。目前应用于市场的椎间盘内射频治疗产品主要有三种，即IDET（intradiscal electrothermal treatment），由SpineCATH/Smith＋Nephew公司生产，于1998年3月获得美国FDA许可上市，1998年在北美脊柱外科年会上由Saal兄弟首先报道；另外一个是Radionics公司的discTRODE RF纤维环成形系统，于2000年10月获得美国FDA许可上市；另外一个产品是AthroCare公司的冷消融髓核成形术（Coblation Nucleoplasty），在1999年由美国FDA批准用于脊柱外科，2000年开始逐渐在临床使用。射频技术是通过组织间电极发出中高频射频波，使组织发热或者改变其生物学特性，以达到治疗疾病的目的。通常认为，射频治疗椎间盘源性腰痛的原理是由于其损毁了椎间盘内的伤害性神经终末。
