Pumping Method Description

There are two main ways to pump the dredged soil，the best way is to pump the soil on land directly via boat，and the other way includes two stages，namely“dumping firstly”and“pumping subsequently”.

Though it's high efficiency and eco-friend，pumping the sediment from the dredger to land is hard to conduct for lots of reasons，like the power of vessel is not large enough and so on.

The second way is a kind indirect way to pump soil to land.Firstly，the dredged soil was transported to a pointed area and dumped into the pumping station，and then，the sand was pumped on land through pipeline via suction pump.

Balancing shipping cost and pumping cost，a few pumping stations were set to adopt the dumping soil and pump onto Hengsha reclamation，shown as below.
