79.四大“发现”。find，look for，find out，discover
（1）find：找到；发现。既可指经过寻找后得到或重新获得已失去的东西，强调动作的结果，也可指偶然地发现、碰到。常用“find+宾语+宾语补足语（形容词、介词短语或不定式）”。如：
I have found the lost pen.
我已经找到丢失的钢笔了。
At last，I found my dog under my bed.
最终我发现狗在床底下。
（2）look for：寻找。强调动作过程。如：
I'm looking for my pen，but I can't find it.
我正在找我的钢笔，但找不到。
（3）find out：找出；查明；发现；揭发。强调经过一番努力的探索、观察、询问、调查、推理等之后才搞清楚，弄明白某一情况。如：(https://www.daowen.com)
I hope you can find out who broke the window.
我希望你能查出是谁打破了窗户。
（4）discover：发现；发觉。指发现本来存在，但以前未为人知或未被发现的事物、真理或情况。如：
Columbus is the first European who discovered America.
哥伦布是第一个发现美洲大陆的欧洲人。
invent意为“发明”，用来指创造出前所未有的东西。如：
Edison invented the electric light bulb.
爱迪生发明了电灯泡。
