（1）look for：寻找。强调过程。如：
Why are the police looking for you?
为什么警察在四处找你？
（2）hunt for：寻找；搜寻；追猎；搜索。猎取……（通常指食物或毛皮），特指竭力搜寻，其搜寻对象往往是某种迫切需要的东西或人。如：
This is just the thing I am hunting for.
这正是我在找的东西。
He's on holiday in Africa，hunting for animals.
他正在非洲度假打猎呢。
（3）search for：搜查；搜索；寻找。search通常指对某处、某地进行搜查或搜索；对人时为“搜身”。常接for构成短语search for，作“寻找；搜寻”解，它强调寻找的行为，不着重结果。如：(https://www.daowen.com)
