（1）story：故事；小说；经历。指叙述的事过去不一定发生过。如：
Can you tell me his life story?
你能给我讲一下他的生活经历吗？
（2）history：历史；历史学。是过去发生的真事。如：
Do you know Chinese history?

（3）historic：有历史意义的；历史上著名的。指某地具有悠久历史或指某事被载入史册。如：
a congress of historic significance 具有历史意义的大会
（4）historical：历史的；史学的；基于史实的。修饰的人或事都是过去的真人真事。如：
the historical events 历史事件
