2.3 Preparation of the Cordycepin Molecularly Imprinted Polymer

A non-covalent bonding technique was used to prepare the cordycepin molecularly imprinted polymer.Cordycepin was employed as the molecular template.(https://www.daowen.com)

0.1mmol of cordycepin and 0.8mmol of alpha-methylacrylic acid were dissolved in 50.0m L tetrahydrofuran in a three neck flask. The mixture was vigorously mixed in a constant temperature shaker for 24h at 25℃,and 4.0mmol of glycol dimethyl acrylate and 90.0mg of azobisisobutyronitrile were added. The mixture was mixed evenly, sonicated, and degassed with nitrogen for 10min to eliminate oxygen, and sealed for polymerization for 24h at a stirring rate of 250 rpm at 60℃.When the reaction was complete, the polymer was ground with a mortar and pestle, and extracted with methanol for 24h in a Soxhlet device to remove the cordycepin in the polymer and the unreacted material. The product was dried to a constant weight under vacuum at 60℃.The nonimprinted polymer was synthesized and treated with a similar protocol except for the absence of the addition of the cordycepin template during the polymerization phase.
