3.6 Recovery and Regeneration of the Molecularly I...
The adsorption rate and recovery results are shown in Table 2.The molecularly imprinted polymers exhibited stronger binding affinity for cordycepin, with an adsorption rate of 88.5%,while adenosine and other matrix components were poorly retained. After washing with water, approximately 80.9% of cordycepin remained on the column. It indicated that the molecularly imprinted polymer has excellent molecular recognition ability and high selectivity for cordycepin.Cordycepin was washed from the columnwith 75%ethanol,with a recovery of 88%.These results show that the molecularly imprinted polymer was suitable for cordycepin enrichment and separation from the sample matrix.

The regeneration performance of a polymer is related to the lifetime of adsorption materials. This property was evaluated by repeated adsorption and elution on a molecularly imprinted polymer column. The adsorption rate of cordycepin declined slowly with use,but it was above 78%after five cycles, demonstrating favorable regeneration performance of the molecularly imprinted polymer.
