For bulk cargoes like farm produce or mineral products such as corn,soybean,wheat,coal,out of various reasons,their quantity delivered often has a high possibility of not being exactly the same with the quantity contracted.Therefore,quantity tolerance terms are introduced into international sales contracts in order to avoid disputes.This is often achieved through a so-called “more or less”clause,which sets the limits the variance in quantity is allowed.
