There are mainly two types of coverage under CIC,basic coverage and additional coverage.Basic coverage includes Free from Particular Average(FPA),With Particular Average(WPA)and All Risks.The relationship between them resembles that of a Russian Doll—FPA comprises 8 types of basic coverage while WPA is built upon FPA plus one more type,and All Risks upon WPA plus general additional coverage(see Figure 8-2).

Additional coverage is classified into general additional coverage and special additional coverage,corresponding respectively to general additional risks and special additional risks.Neither can be covered alone; they must go with basic coverage,though general additional risks have already been covered under All Risks.
