6.9 Arrangement of Equipment
6.9.1 The hydraulic machinery and electric equipment should be arranged in separate zones.
6.9.2 The length and width of the units section in the powerhouse shall be determined according to the dimensions of units，flow passages，governors，oil pressure units，inlet valves and electrical cabinets，and in combination with the requirements for assembly overhaul，operation，access and civil works.The width of the powerhouse shall also meet the dimension requirements of the parts to be lifted by the crane and for the inlet valve.
6.9.3 The hoisting height in the powerhouse shall meet the requirements of:
1 Integral lift of rotor and shaft of the generator.
2 Pull in assembly with shaft and integral lift of turbine.
3 In-plant overhaul of main transformer.
4 Turning over of gate operating mechanism and other parts of the bulb tubular units.
5 The distance of parts to be lifted by the crane from fixed objects being neither less than 0.3m in the vertical direction nor less than 0.4 m in the horizontal direction.(https://www.daowen.com)
6.9.4 The area of erection bay shall be defined according to the requirement for an extended overhaul of one unit，and the main parts of the unit shall be arranged within the work scope line of the lifting hook of the crane and meet the requirements of:
1 Lifting large components in sequence during assembly and overhaul.
2 The net distance between large components of units or between large components of units and walls（pillars）and fixed equipment at 0.8-1.0m.
3 In-plant loading and unloading by vehicles.
6.9.5 The elevation of erection bay should be the same as that of the generator floor.Its width shall be consistent with that of the unit section，and the length may be defined as 1.5-2.0 times the space between units.
6.9.6 The turbine oil chamber may be arranged inside the powerhouse，and the insulation oil tank should be outside the powerhouse.The oil treatment chamber shall be close to the oil accumulator room.
6.9.7 The layout of other auxiliary machinery shall be convenient for assembly，operation，overhaul and maintenance of equipment.
