6.8　Overhead Crane

6.8.1　Cranes or other hoisting equipment shall be installed in the powerhouse of a hydropower station.Single-trolley or double-trolley bridge cranes may be used，while variable frequency motor should be adopted to adjust the speed of lifting machinery.The rated lifting capacity of the crane shall be defined as the total weight of the heaviest piece that may be lifted plus any hoisting tools and with reference to the standard lifting capacities of the crane series.The crane span may be selected according to the standard crane span.The lifting height and speed of crane shall meet the requirements for installation and overhaul of units.(https://www.daowen.com)

6.8.2　For the hydropower station with a GIS room，a crane shall be equipped for installation and overhaul.
