6.7 Ventilation
6.7.1 The heating and ventilation method for a hydropower station shall be chosen based on local meteorological conditions, powerhouse type, and air parameters required by various working sites.
6.7.2 For the generator hall, erection bay and auxiliary rooms of a ground powerhouse, natural ventilation should be used.In case natural ventilation cannot meet the required parameters for indoor air, methods such as natural-mechanical mixed ventilation, mechanical ventilation and partial air conditioning may be adopted.
For the floorsunder the generator floor of the power house, the ventilation method of natural air supply and mechanical venting may be adopted.
For central control rooms and other rooms with personnel on shifts, air conditioning method should be provided.
6.7.3 For an enclosed powerhouse, ventilation may be realized by making use of holes and tunnels for natural air supplying and mechanical air venting. If the indoor air parameters cannot meet ventilation requirements, air conditioning devices may be used.(https://www.daowen.com)
6.7.4 If pipe ventilation is used for the generator, the hot air shall be drawn out of the powerhouse.
6.7.5 The frequency of air replacements in oil accumulator room shall not be less than three times per hour;the frequency of air replacement in oil treatment chambers shall not be less than six times per hour.Indoor air shall not be recycled.
6.7.6 For oil accumulator room and oil treatment chamber, independent ventilation systems shall be installed respectively. The vent of the ventilation system shall be 1.5m higher than the roof of chamber.
6.7.7 The frequency of air replacement in SF6 switch room shall be eight times per hour, and the air inlet shall be arranged at the lower part of the room.
6.7.8 If the indoor temperature of the powerhouse and auxiliary rooms is lower than 5°C,a heating device shall be installed.
