7.11　Power Source for Operation

7.11.1　The direct current power source devices equipped with storage battery shall be adopted as the operating power source of the hydropower station，and only one set of storage batteries shall be installed and operated in a floating charge mode.If the hydropower station is controlled in an extended-plant station mode，two sets of storage batteries should be equipped.

7.11.2　The voltage of operating power source should be direct current 220V.

7.11.3　The storage battery capacity shall meet the power demand when an emergency shutdown of the whole plant occurs and when there is a maximum surge load.(https://www.daowen.com)

The emergency shutdown duration may be taken as 1h in the calculation，and it may be taken as 2h for extended-plant stations.

7.11.4　The storage battery should be valve-regulated.For charging and float charging of the storage battery，one set of storage batteries should be equipped with one set of rectifying device.For the circuit of the charging power source of storage battery，the corresponding power source indication shall be installed.

7.11.5　The direct current device shall have functions such as automatic charging and discharging control，detection of battery capacity and voltage，insulation monitoring and malfunction alarm，etc.
