10.4　Construction of Main Works

10.4.1　The design of construction of main works shall include:

1　Requirements for construction by the design of hydraulic structures.

2　Define the construction schemes of main individual works and the layout of onsite access，construction sequences，construction methods，equipment arrangement and workmanship.For structures with requirements for temperature control，the corresponding temperature control requirements and measures to prevent cracks shall be proposed.

3　Work out the construction progress of main individual works and the corresponding construction intensity in accordance with the general progress schedule.

4　Select the models and quantities of major construction equipment for main individual works.

5　Finalize the scales，layout and types of major construction facilities.

6　Calculate the construction quantities of auxiliary works and supplementary quantities of main works.(https://www.daowen.com)

7　Calculate the quantities of main materials and labor needed for construction and work out a demand plan.

8　Balance the excavation and filling of the whole project by coordinating the general layout and general schedule of construction.

10.4.2　The construction scheme of main works shall be determined under the following principles:

1　The construction period is short，the project quality and safety shall be guaranteed.Quantities of auxiliary works and supplementary quantities of construction are small，and construction cost is low.

2　Sequential works，civil construction and electro-mechanical installation，and various working procedures shall be well coordinated with little mutual interference.

3　Technology is state-of-the-art and reliable.

4　Work intensity is balanced with the demands for construction equipment，materials，labor and other resources.
