This chapter probes into cognitive translation strategies of image-G actualization based on case studies,which can be reduced into several specific types.In sum,there are five major cognitive translation strategies translators can adopt in the process of image-G actualization,including image-G preservation,reinforcement,restructuring,accretion and modulation respectively.Each strategy possesses cognitive motivation of its own.The cognitive motivation of the first strategy is the analogous substitution of equivalent prototype categories.The second is,the internalization of poetic cultural cognitive models.The third is,the reappearance of image-G based on discourse intertextuality of Gestalt attributes.The fourth is,the supplement of semantic slots of default value.The fifth is,the adaption of image-G based on composite deployment of different scenario/scene modes.Image-G preservation strategy is applicable for the type of inclusive correspondence.Image-G reinforcement strategy is suitable for the inclusive corresponding type.The applicability of image-G restructuring strategy can be certified with the crossed corresponding type.Image-G accretion strategy is applicable for non-correspondence type.Image-G modulation strategy can be vindicated by the case study of inclusive correspondence type.(https://www.daowen.com)
