四、并列结构

英语中并列结构形式工整，表达有力。并列结构前后形式要求一致，经常由but…，and…，either…or…，not only…but also，neither…nor…，not…but…，as well as，rather than等短语连接。如 I was advised either to telephone or to write the hotel for reservations.我得到的建议是或者打电话或者写信给该旅店订房。

例1：汉语：赛龙舟不仅是一种体育和娱乐活动，它更能体现人们心中的集体主义和爱国主义精神。

译文：Dragon boat racing is not only a kind of sports and recreational activities，but also reflects the spirit of people’s collectivism and patriotism.(https://www.daowen.com)
