4.1.4 Usage of Aerial Devices with Insulating Boom...
Proper use and operation of the aerial devices with insulating booms is the basis for personal safety and vehicle safety.
1.Engine Start and Operation of the Power Takeoff and Legs
(1)Apply the hand brakes and lay the triangular blocks.
(2)Make sure the transmission lever is in the correct position.
(3)Depress the clutch pedal to the bottom and start the engine.
(4)Depress the clutch pedal and move the power takeoff switch to the"ON"position.
(5)Slowly release the clutch pedal.
(6)Throttle high and low speed operation.
(7)Horizontal leg operation.In the change-over levers,select the change-over lever of the horizontal leg to be operated,and switch it to the"horizontal"position;when the"retraction"lever is pulled to the"extending"position,the horizontal leg will extend,as shown in the Fig.4-3.

(8)Vertical leg operation.Operate the legs correctly to prevent the legs from running out or contracting,causing damage to the vehicle.The legs of the aerial devices with insulating booms during working are shown in Fig.4-4.

(9)The retraction operation method is:retract the legs to the original state in the order of"vertical legs-horizontal legs";retract them in the reverse order of items(8)and(9);after retraction,return the operating rods to the middle position.
2.Connect Grounding Wire
The grounding wire on the outgoing line coil is retracted and the grounding wire of the aerial devices with insulating booms is reliably connected to the grounding lead of the pole and tower.Fig.4-5 shows the grounding wire installed for the aerial devices with insulating booms.

3.Upper Operation(Work Bucket Operation)
(1)Work arm operation
①Lower arm operation(arm lifting operation),Fig.4-6 shows the operating panel inside the work bucket.

(2)Work bucket swing operation
Move the bucket swing lever in the direction of the sign arrow to swing the work bucket to the right or left.
(3)Emergency stop operation
When the emergency stop lever is turned on,the upper operations will stop,but the engine will not stop.Emergency stop operation is required in the following cases:
①The operator on the work bucket needs to stop the action of the work arm in order to avoid dangerous situations;
②The operation control is out of control.
(4)Small boom operation
As shown in Fig.4-7 and Fig.4-8,some aerial devices with insulating booms are equipped with small boom for the work bucket.For the operation,refer to the relevant manual.

(5)Auxiliary device operation
The oil inlet,return oil and drain connections are reliably connected to the corresponding joints of the hydraulic tool,and the auxiliary lever is switched to the"tool"position.
4.Lower Operation(Operation of the Operating Panel at the Turntable)
(1)Work arm operation
In the state where the work arm is retracted to the bracket,the swing operation of the work arm is not allowed,and the operating panel of the work arm at the turntable is as shown in Fig.4-9.
(2)Emergency stop operation
Use the emergency stop lever for emergency stop operation.When the emergency stop lever is turned on,all operations of the upper and lower parts are stopped.
(3)Emergency pump operation
The operation button of the emergency pump at the turntable is shown in Fig.4-10.
