Yunnan has special regional advantages in implementation of“The Belt and Road Initiative”and construction of RCEP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership).From the perspective of special geological advantages, Yunnan is located in the ancient southern Silk Road, connecting the Silk Road Economic Zone in the north and the Maritime Silk Road in the south.It has a unique geological advantage of facing“Southeast Asia, South Asia and West Asia”and leading to“the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean”.It is the only province in China that can simultaneously communicate with South Asia and Southeast Asia by land.From the perspective of historical inheritance, Yunnan has played an important role as an inland pass in China’s foreign economic and cultural history for a long time.It has rich historical experience,cultural tradition and practical foundation, and has an important geological role of transforming into an emerging advantage and giving play to the demonstration function.
Tea is a piece of magical leaf, which has survived the glacial century and entered the Shennong Time.After thousands of years of baptism in the Shang, Zhou, Tang and Song Dynasties and even the long history, it has been accompanied by human beings until now,becoming an important health messenger and spiritual companion of people all over the world,and also becoming a rare material carrier and cultural symbol that appeals to both refined and popular tastes.
云南大叶种茶树，是云南丰富多彩的植物资源中一颗璀璨的明珠。而普洱茶，更是云南极具代表性的一张绿色生态名片和历史文化名片，也是云南发展高原特色产业和助力乡村振兴的重要经济载体。低纬度高海拔的立体气候条件、多样的土壤类型、充足的光照热量等优越的赋予了普洱茶得天独厚的生态环境，勤劳智慧的云南先民不负大自然恩赐，在历史长河中摸索创制出独特的普洱茶加工工艺，在多样的少数民族生活中衍生出丰富多彩的民族茶文化，在茶马古道和丝绸之路的传播途径中碰撞激发出神秘的传奇色彩，在时间里沉淀出普洱茶厚重无比历久弥香的文化底蕴，古今中外无数人为之痴迷。
当前，新冠疫情仍然肆虐全球，严重威胁全球人民的健康生活。为践行构建人类命运共同体理念并积极响应“一带一路”倡议号召，面对新时期各国人民对于绿色大健康的强烈需求，来自云南农业大学茶学院与国际学院的团队，勠力同心，通力合作，各取所长，共同努力编著这本《绿色大健康——中国云南普洱茶》（汉英双语）外宣图书。以普洱茶为载体，以自然科学和人文科学为两翼，以文化传播和交流为目的，梳理云南普洱茶的发展脉络，揭秘茶马古道中普洱茶的神秘故事，向世界分享普洱茶浪漫唯美的茶事艺文，展示云南少数民族丰富多彩的茶礼茶俗，传播科学的普洱茶评鉴与冲泡品饮方法，阐释普洱茶保健养生功效知识……通过汉英双语，面向全球，推广普洱茶的文化价值和健康价值，为世界各国人民带去保持身心健康的养生妙品。以茶为载体，传播中国文化，传递中国友谊，提升中国，尤其是云南的国际影响力。
本书分为普洱茶的发展脉络、普洱茶的地域文化、普洱茶的茶事艺文、普洱茶与民俗文化、普洱茶评鉴与冲泡、普洱茶的养生功效等六章。本书的翻译由云南农业大学国际学院院长刘艳博士团队完成，在英文翻译过程中得到昆明市莫林翻译服务有限公司的大力支持。

Yunnan, referred to as the South of Colorful Clouds, is located in the southwest border of China, known as the“Kingdom of Plant”.It is located in the golden belt of tea in the world,with a tea germplasm gene bank and also the place with the richest tea germplasm resources and the most concentrated distribution, the largest area, the largest variety and the oldest traits of ancient tea trees found in the world today.In addition, it is the only place that includes wild, transitional and cultivated ancient tea trees, which can fully reflect the evolution and development history of the whole tea tree and is recognized as the origin center of tea tree in the world.
The Big Leaf Tea growing in Yunnan is a bright pearl among the rich and colorful plant resources of Yunnan.Pu’er tea, as the representative of green ecology and historical culture in Yunnan, is also an important economic carrier for Yunnan to develop plateau characteristic industries and help rural revitalization.The superior ecological environment, such as stereoscopic climatic conditions at low latitude and high altitude, diverse soil types, sufficient light and heat, etc., endows Pu’er tea with unique high-quality ingredients.The industrious and intelligent Yunnan ancestors did not bear the gift of nature, explored and created unique Pu’er tea processing technology in the long history, derived colorful national tea culture from various ethnic minority lives, and collided with the spreading routes of the Ancient Tea-horse Road and the Silk Road to inspire mysterious legends.In time, Pu’er tea precipitated the profound and lasting cultural heritage, which attracted countless people at all times and in all over the world.
At present, the COVID-19 epidemic is still raging in the world, seriously threatening the healthy life of people all over the world.In order to practice the idea of building the community with a shared future for mankind and actively respond to the call of“The Belt and Road Initiative”, the teams from Couege of Tea and International College of Yunnan Agricultural University, facing the strong demand of people all over the world for green and comprehensive health in the new era, have worked together to compile this publicity work Green and Comprehensive Health—Pu’er Tea in Yunnan, China (bilingual in Chinese and English).Taking Pu’er tea as the carrier, natural science and humanity as the wings, and cultural communication and exchange as the purpose, this work sorts out the development of Pu’er tea in Yunnan, reveals the mysterious story of Pu’er tea in the Ancient Tea-horse Road,shares the romantic and beautiful art of Pu’er tea with the world, shows the rich tea ceremony and customs of ethnic minorities in Yunnan, spreads scientific evaluation and brewing methods of Pu’er tea, explains the knowledge of health-preserving function of Pu’er tea…and promote the cultural value and health value of Pu’er tea to the world in both Chinese and English,and bring people all over the world wonderful health products.With tea as the carrier, it also spreads Chinese culture, conveys Chinese friendship and enhances the international influence of China, especially Yunnan.
