Ⅱ.Development of Contemporary Pu’er Tea

With the increasing innovation of science and technology, the traditional research on Pu’er tea has stepped to the high-tech track.The innovation and application of new varieties,new processes, new equipment and new technologies have led Pu’er tea to a scientific and technological road of flavor, functionality, digitalization, intelligence and branding, guiding the development of Pu’er tea in technology, culture, tea life, economy and industry to a healthy trend as a whole.The technology and concept of Pu’er tea after continuous innovation and development officially enter the“9G (Generation)”era.

功能普洱:指从功能物质角度,开展富含功能物质的普洱茶研究,从而研制出保健功能突出的特色普洱茶。

数字普洱:指通过技术创新,应用有益菌进行发酵或应用新工艺技术,精准调控普洱茶内含成分含量,生产出品质特征鲜明、某种功能活性成分含量较高、具有定向风味或养生功效的新型普洱茶,是普洱茶的标准数字化体系的综合体现。

Flavored Pu’er tea: Through a specific processing technology, some flavor substances are reduced or increased to change the taste and form a specific flavor.For example, dominant/different microbial strains are used to control the flavor of Pu’er tea .

Functional Pu’er tea : From the perspective of functional substances, Pu’er tea ’s rich in functional substances is studied, so as to develop characteristic Pu’er tea with outstanding healthcare function.

Digital Pu’er tea: Through technological innovation, the beneficial bacteria are used for fermentation or new technology is applied to precisely control the content of contained ingredients in Pu’er tea, so as to produce a new type of Pu’er tea with distinctive quality characteristics, high content of some functional active ingredients, directional flavor or health-preserving effect, which is a comprehensive embodiment of the standard digital system for Pu’er tea.

Technological Pu’er tea: The application of standardized, controllable and intelligent technological innovation equipment and technical means in all links of the whole industrial chain from tea garden to tea cup realizes the standard control, quality improvement and efficiency increase in Pu’er tea processing and production.

Cloud Pu’er tea: Based on the tea production chain and with information technology as the core, and big data, Internet of Things and artificial intelligence as the means, a visual monitoring and intelligent control system for the whole life cycle from tea garden to tea cup is established, so as to control the source, track the process, guarantee the quality and trace the safety, thus promoting the prosperous, healthy and sustainable development of tea industry.
