N：Hello，Mr.Li.I am your primary nurse Li Mei.Because your treatment requires long-term infusion of irritant drugs，a central venous catheter such as PICC is suggested to be retained.
患者：什么是PICC？
P：What is PICC？
护士：PICC即经外周静脉置入中心静脉导管，是由专业护士在靠近肘窝和上臂一个大的外周静脉穿刺插管，使其导管尖端位于上腔静脉。插入过程是微创，经常可以在床边进行。
N：PICC is peripherally inserted central catheter.Its placement is operated by a professional nurse through a large peripheral vein puncture near the elbow and upper arm，and the tip of the catheter would be located at the superior vena cava.The operation is minimally invasive and it can usually be done at bedside.
患者：使用PICC这种导管安全吗？
P：Is it safe？
护士：这是一种非常安全的治疗方式。药物经PICC直接进入中心静脉，短时间内被迅速稀释，大大减少了对血管的损伤，也降低了并发症的风险。
N：It is a very safe treatment.The drug injected into the PICC is transfused directly into the central vein，therefore can be quickly diluted in short time.In this way the damage to the blood vessels and the risk of complications are reduced remarkably.
患者：穿刺PICC大概要花多少钱啊？是不是很贵？
P：How much does the puncture of PICC cost？Is it expensive？(https://www.daowen.com)
护士：不同的PICC价格不一样，我们目前使用的是巴德4F导管，价格在2 000元左右。
N：The prices of different PICCs are various.We are currently using the Bard 4F catheter，it is about RMB 2 000.
患者：那不是很贵。我现在有点紧张，穿刺的时候会不会很疼啊？
P：Not very expensive.I'm a little nervous now.Is itpainful during the operation？
护士：穿刺PICC和一般的静脉穿刺没有太大的区别，只是穿刺点相对而言会大一点，但是我们在穿刺之前会给您局部麻醉，您不会有太疼的感觉，所以不要太紧张。
N：PICC puncture is quite similar to the usual venipuncture，while the wound of the PICC puncture is relatively larger.We will give you local anesthesia before the puncture，so you will not feel much pain.Just take it easy.
患者：穿刺的管子粗吗？
P：Is the puncture tube thick？
护士：PICC导管直径1.40 mm，总长度60 cm。
N：PICC's diameter is 1.40 mm and the total length is 60 cm.
患者：这么长？那会插到什么地方？
P：That sounds quite long.How far will it go into？
护士：虽然管道有60 cm，但是并非全部进入您的体内，而是根据您的个体情况确定插入的长度。一般导管会到达上腔静脉的中下段处，靠近上腔静脉与右心房交界处。
N：Although the catheter is 60 cm in length，it will not be inserted entirely into your body.The inserted distance will be set according to your personal situation.Generally，the catheter will reach the middle-lowerend of the superior vena cava，near the junction between the superior vena cava and the right atrium.
患者：好的，我明白了。谢谢你的详细讲解，我现在没有那么紧张了。
P：OK，I see.Thank you for the detailed explanation.I am not so nervous now.
护士：不用谢，这是我应该做的。
N：You are welcome.It is my duty.
