4 Empirical analysis

The research takes data from East China as an example to carry on the positive analysis.The number of enterprises with R&D activities indicates the scale of enterprise innovation population.Provincial and municipal data are selected from the statistical yearbook over the years.Regression results of econometric models(10),(11)and(12)showed with tables 1,2,and 3.

Data of table 1 explain that enterprises in Zhejiang,Fujian and Anhui show greater synergy than competition.The internal relations of enterprises'innovation population of Shandong show that competition is greater than synergy.The internal dynamics of innovative populations in other regions are not significant.

Data of table 2 show that the influence of the adjacent region enterprise innovation population on the innovation population of Zhejiang enterprises is synergistic.

The influence of the adjacent region(Jiangsu and Zhejiang)on the innovative population of Shanghai enterprises is a competitive relationship.

The two provinces of Jiangsu and Zhejiang have developed economy,higher level of scientific and stronger ability of enterprise innovation.

The enterprise innovation population in Jiangsu and Zhejiang has obvious competition relationship with the enterprise innovation population in Shanghai.

Table 3 data show that the impact of enterprise innovation population in Fujian and Anhui on the urban innovation population in the adjacent region is mainly synergistic effect.The innovation population of different provinces and cities in East China shows different development trends.Within the region,enterprise innovation groups show that competition is greater than synergy or synergy is greater than competition,and there is no significant interaction between innovation groups in some regions.Enterprises in some regions(such as Zhejiang province)can not only make full use of the innovation resources in the region,but also make full use of the innovation resources of the adjacent areas.In some areas(such as Anhui and Fujian),the interaction among enterprise innovation population is not significant.But enterprise innovation population can form a synergistic relationship with the enterprises in the adjacent areas.In the region represented by Shanghai,the enterprise innovation groups are mainly facing the competitive pressures of the enterprises'innovative population from the adjacent areas.

In theory,there is such a region that enterprises in the region can make full use of innovation resources in the region and adjacent areas to achieve collaborative innovation.At the same time,the impact of innovative population in this region on collaborative innovation groups in adjacent areas is also synergistic.Such an area can be seen as the core of innovation in a large environment.The small environment of innovation core area is good,and can promote the synergy innovation of enterprise innovation population in the whole region.The competent government departments can promote the coordinated innovation of the whole region through the construction of innovative core areas.The empirical results in East China show that Zhejiang is closer to the requirements of the innovation core area.
