Geographical Location and Size
Qingdao is situated at the southern tip of the Shandong Peninsula (35°35'-37°09'N, 119°30'-121°00'E) by the Yellow Sea and on the west shore of the Pacific Ocean, and across the sea on its east are the Republic of Korea and Japan. Qingdao’s jurisdiction area covers a land area of 11,282 square kilometers and a sea area of 12,240 square kilometers.
