Qingdao has a temperate monsoon climate. The weather is mild and agreeable with abundant rainfall. Winter is free of freezing cold and summer scorching heat. Sea fog occurs often in late spring and early summer. The climate in the coastal areas features a late spring, a cool summer, a crisp autumn and a long winter.
